Property Builder KK Sdn Bhd is committed to developing a mixed development project on the coast of the Aman Laut Kuala Kedah from March next year, in an effort to help the people of Kedah own homes. The project involves the construction of a gated community that will be the gateway to the island of Langkawi in addition to offering first-class amenities such as shopping bazaar.
Executive Chairman and Managing Director, Datuk Iskandar Dzulkarnain Abdul Khalid, said the project with a gross development value (GDV) of RM1.2 billion involving four phases: Phase 1, 1A, 2 and 3 in the area of 49.4 hectares of reclaimed land. He said that the selling price of condominiums for Phase 1 between RM180,000 to RM240,000 per unit, while for Phase 1A according to the state government’s policy of not more than RM250,000.
“A total of 906 units involving 92 units of shop houses; 84 two-storey units, and six apartment blocks (730 units), each 25 floors will be established for Phase 1.
“For Phase 1A, 985 units involving a block of 23-storey medium cost apartments, two blocks of 20-storey low medium and two blocks of 19-storey low cost.” The two phases are allocated a total of RM650 million is expected to be completed in 2020, “he said in a press conference after signing a memorandum of Understanding (MoU), here, today.
The MoU was signed by the State Secretary of Kedah, Datuk Bakar Din; Datuk Iskandar; and Chairman of the PKB Development Sdn Bhd, Datuk Ismail Hamid witnessed by Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Basha Md Hanipah. Datuk Iskandar said, Phase 2 is allocated for future development, while current plans for Phase 3 will feature luxurious bungalows, detached houses and condominiums.
He said the high-profile project that will take 10 years for all four phases and will be an integrated series of homes, offices, shops and recreational facilities with stunning views of the sea.
“Residents will also have access to a marina lifestyle that will make up the essence of outdoor activities, boat and yacht transportation assets as well as a hobby.
“Development of Safe Sea can be a game changer that transforms the real estate market Kedah and is expected to become a new city located on the coast of Kuala Kedah.
